How to Add an Email Signature in Outlook
Follow these steps to add an email signature in classic or new Outlook, choose account defaults and test the finished installation.
Rich HTML supported; Outlook may adjust spacingBefore you begin
Classic Outlook and new Outlook use different settings screens. Identify your version first, then paste the signature into its editor.
- 01
Copy your finished signature
Open your completed SendSignatures design and select Copy signature. Keep this guide open in another tab while you install it.
- 02
Open the signature editor
Classic Outlook: open New Email, then Message → Signature → Signatures. New Outlook: open Settings → Accounts → Signatures.
- 03
Create a named signature
Choose New or Add signature, enter a memorable name, click in the editing area and paste the copied signature.
- 04
Assign it to the right account
Choose the email account and set defaults for new messages and replies/forwards. Classic Outlook may require separate local setup on each device.
- 05
Save your changes
Select Save or OK. Classic Outlook will not add the new signature to the message that was already open, so create another message to test.
- 06
Send a proper test
Compose a new message to yourself and check the result in both a desktop and mobile inbox. Test every link and confirm that remote images load.
